Was June nonexistent for you too? Because if you told me we went from May to July and completely skipped June, I’d believe you.
Anyway, HAPPY JULY!
It’s such an exciting month in my little corner of the world. I have so much to share. Let’s get to it.
It’s pub month for RADIO ROMANCE!
My next spicy novella will be available for purchase on July 16 and I’m trying a little something different this time.
When I released Let it Rain in April, I wanted to make my first time self publishing as easy as possible. I wanted to learn one thing at a time because this shit is overwhelming. I stuck with Amazon, offering copies or sale and including it in Kindle Unlimited (KU).
KU requires exclusivity, which means I can only sell eBook copies through Amazon (Note: major publishing houses have their own contracts with Amazon and don’t fall under these terms).
Using the data that I gathered from my first three months with Amazon, I decided that Radio Romance may benefit from a different strategy.
A wide strategy.
Radio Romance will be available for purchase through Amazon, but it won’t be enrolled in KU. By keeping it out of KU I can sell eBook copies everywhere else.
Everywhere else includes:
- Direct from my website (eventually)
- Kobo and Kobo+
- Barnes & Noble
- AppleBooks
- Fable
- Smashwords
- Hoopla
- Overdrive (libraries, y’all!!)
- Plus a bunch more
I’m super excited to see how this goes and to make my work more accessible to readers around the world.
Exclusive Previews for Mailing List Subscribers
On July 2 mailing list subscribers are getting:

An opportunity to read Chapter 1 and meet protagonists Liz Bruno and Jamie Murphy;
And links to pre-order their own copy from their favorite eBook retailer.
Meet Liz and Jamie
Their pining is mutual.
But their timing? Always wrong.
When a cub reporter interviews a fledgling stage actor for a local radio show, neither expected it to be the first of several flirty encounters as they advanced in their careers. While every reconnection added a little more kindling to a blossoming fire, any chance of pursuing a romance was hampered by timing, distance, and current relationships.
Betty Bruno is a popular entertainment journalist and one of the hottest voices in the industry, but to Jamie Murphy she’s just Liz, the local radio show host that put him at ease during his first on-air interview.
Jamie Murphy is an award-winning actor and Hollywood leading man, but to Liz Bruno, he’s just Jamie, an incredibly talented guy that makes her laugh and shares her love of the arts.
More than fifteen years after their first interview, Jamie is starring in his first blockbuster movie. The movie’s New York premiere is the biggest assignment of Liz’s career. Now standing face-to-face on the red carpet, is their timing finally right?
