From My Bookshelves: 5 Queer Books for Pride Month

Published by

Is this another list of queer books to read during Pride? No.

This is a list of queer books you can read any time you want.

I’m a mood reader who takes like three-four weeks to finish a full length novel so I’m not going to dictate when you should pull any of these off your TBR. I’m not your mom and I already have a child whose reading I have to stay on top of.

But seeing as though I thoroughly loved all of these books, consider this some gentle encouragement to bump them up your list.

I tried to pull a variety of genres with a variety of queer representations. Again, I’m a slow reader so my overall number of books to choose from is smaller than others, but I wanted to share only books I’ve read and really enjoyed.

I’m sharing the Goodreads and StoryGraph links so you can do your due diligence before deciding if the book is the right fit.

What do authors read?

You can find me on Goodreads and Story Graph if you’re curious about what I’m reading.

I don’t use my author accounts for rating and reviewing, but I’m happy to chat privately about a specific book. I’m really good at finding books I know I’ll enjoy, so if it’s in my Read pile, odds are I liked it.

Since these are new accounts they may not have books from before 2024. I’m slowly working on getting them up-to-date.

Ariella is a disgruntled elder millennial who makes a living writing website content, teaching yoga, and writing romance with bisexual neurodivergent characters. She does those things in between being an OKish parent and a terrible Chief Domestic Officer. She regularly battles demons, the patriarchy, and laundry.
