BOOK COVER REVEAL! A swoony look for Chasing Ember

Published by

Designing the cover for Chasing Ember with Disturbed Valkyrie Designs went a little something like this:

Me: So the book’s got these things in it. And here’s a mood board. I like these things but all I got are vibes. No ideas.

DVD: Got it. How about this concept?

Me: I like these things about it, but no, that’s not quite right. Here are some random book covers I like. I couldn’t tell you why I like them, though.

DVD: These covers are great, but they they set up certain reader expectations that your book isn’t going to deliver. So, hear me out. What about this?

Me: I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!!!

The way my cover designers take the nonsense I give them and turn it into art is WHY I’LL NEVER USE AI.

So. Would you like to see it?

I bet you’re dying to.

No, but seriously. Ready?

ISN’T IT GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!

I’m so in love with it.

The only thing that could make it better is that dog actually being Bailey and not a dog that looks like Bailey but that gets into weird copyright stuff.
