Happy Book Birthday to Let it Rain, the little novella that made me a professional author.
I won’t be making any birthday cakes because I already tried that once and it was an epic fail. But maybe I’ll swing by the grocery store and get a cookie cake or something.
Random Tidbits about Let it Rain
Before it was a novella it was a short story on KindleVella titled Rainy with a Chance of Desire.
The opening scene was part of a writing exercise to practice descriptive writing.
I released Let it Rain before Radio Romance because it needed less revising and it had a familiar format for contemporary romance readers.
I picked Boone as Lucas and Cassie’s destination because I need them to be detoured several times and getting to Boone from Smithfield is already less direct than driving to Asheville.
The nonprofit that Cassie and Lucas volunteer for is completely made up, but I’d absolutely volunteer if it existed.
