It’s been a long-ass journey but my first full length novel and first contemporary fantasy romance book is finally out in the world.
The original release date for Roots in Ink was March 20. The vernal equinox was just very on brand.
But, I can’t imagine doing pre-order promo work for another three weeks. I’m freaking done. Why go through the hell of self publishing if you can’t decide to release your book almost a month early just because you’re totally over a particular phase of marketing?
I’m looking forward to the next phase: being accused of plagiarizing Sarah J. Maas.
(For the record, I was already writing this book when I read the Throne of Glass series and I haven’t picked up any of her other books.)
I really could gush all day about how much this means to me, but I’d really rather you just read the book instead of my poorly edited word vomit.
I will simply say, Thank you.

Similar to Kindle Unlimited, but has better terms for authors.
Because I’ve been asked:
Roots in Ink is not currently enrolled in Kindle Unlimited.
KU’s exclusivity clause would prohibit me from selling ebooks on any platform except Amazon. Including my own.
I may do limited runs in KU in the future, but I have no plans to make any of my books available through the program long term.
In case you’re on the fence and motivated by spite, here are all the reasons why conservatives would ban this book.
