Well we’re nine days into 2025 and it’s been A LOT. But we’re not going to talk about that right now. If you want my random, mildly filtered thoughts on the day-to-day shenanigans this world is up to, you’ll have to follow me on Threads (for the time being, anyway) and BlueSky.
You’re here for MY shenanigans and for that I’m grateful.
2024 Author Wrapped
What did my first year as an indie author look like in numbers? Pretty good, actually. Not bad considering I had no idea what I was doing.
To help others learn from my mistakes, I’m working on a separate post detailing what I learned.

Plans for 2025
Listen, as a millennial who graduated at the start of a major recession and went through a career change at the start of the pandemic, I REALLY don’t like making plans further than a few months out.
But I do have a few things I can reasonably count on.
Release ROOTS IN INK on March 20
My book baby is with my copy editor and proofreader and I expect to have it back in a couple of weeks. I don’t like to set pre order dates until I have the cover AND final manuscript in my hands. I’m anticipating pre orders going live on February 1.
ARC readers have uncorrected proofs in their hands and I really hope they love it.
Bookish Events
Temptation in the Triangle February 22
This is the first year for this event so I’m not quite sure what to expect, but I’ll be surrounded by a bunch of author friends who are sure to make it a fun time.
I’m hoping to have early editions of Roots in Ink there, but the timing is tight so I’m making no promises until I have the books in my hands.

Tickets are on sale now and you can use my promo code (TITTAM) for 20% off.
Literary Love Savannah July 9 – 13
This is my 3rd year attending LLS and my 1st as an author. There’s so much going on at this 4-day event but I’m confirmed to take part in an evening of witchy crafts and representing chaos bisexuals at the Pride Party.

Reader tickets are on sale now through May.
2025 WIPs
After a 3-month hiatus to prioritize editing and paperback production I’m finally writing again. I can’t force myself to work on a project that my hyper focus hasn’t latched onto which is why I set low expectations for my publishing schedule (that and I have a paid part time job and an unpaid full time job).
Lately I’ve been working on Book 2 of the Scions of Belhaven series and, goddess willing, continue drafting until I have a complete rough draft. At that point I’ll set it aside and move on to a novella.
I get the rights back to Chasing Ember at the end of February and I definitely want to expand it into a contemporary romance novella.
Also on my list is a Scions of Belhaven prequel(ish) novella. Roots in Ink uses diary entries from the 1600s to guide the characters in the contemporary timeline. I’m planning on writing a novella of those diary events as they happened in real time.
We’ll see what my ADHD decides to do, but if you’re especially excited about one of these projects, please comment below and tell me.
No seriously. Sometimes I overthink which one to focus on and I just need someone to tell me what to do. Analysis paralysis amiright?
