WTF is Kobo Plus?
Remember ebates? They go by Rakuten now and Kobo is their eBook retailer.
Like Amazon’s Kindle, Kobo has its own line of ereaders and an app that can be downloaded to your phone or tablet.
Kobo Plus is a subscription service similar to Kindle Unlimited. It has thousands of romance books in both eBook and audio formats and is available to customers all over the world. Read all the enrolled books you want for a monthly fee.

What’s in it for Authors?
The Kobo Plus royalty model is similar to KU in that authors of enrolled books get paid per page read.
The biggest difference between the two services is exclusivity. KU requires it, and Kobo Plus doesn’t. This is why none of my books are currently in KU, but they are in Kobo Plus.
Kobo Plus also pays authors for re-reads whereas KU doesn’t. So if you read Roots in Ink twice because you just love it that much, I’ll get royalties for both reads.
